Crusader Rolling Together Again

Yesterday George Hill came down from the mountains (wish I was up there instead) and we had a great time. It’s not often we get to have a face to face about what’s going on here at Crusader HQ. When we do it’s non stop great conversation and planning. It’s like long lost family suddenly comes to town.

We rolled down to Hill AFB to meet with another member of the Crusader family. Although not technically on the pay roll he’s still part of the family. Nightcrawler is an EOD tech and we got the grand tour of their shop. The quote of the day came from a cue from George, “come on say it!” With big grins on our faces we chimed in “George….stop jumping on the nuke”. No joke. It happened.

We said our goodbye’s to Nightcrawler. It wasn’t easy. He deploys to a particularly nasty area of the world in a couple weeks. Keep NC in your thoughts and prayers. We want this one to come home in one piece along with everyone else over there.

Dinner…oh, dinner. Bohemian Grill….and….buffalo burgers. That is a half pound of heaven. Thick piece of 100% buffalo, two pieces of thick cut pepper bacon, Gorgonzola crumbles, and all the appropriate rabbit food between an onion roll. There, I can’t even say any more than that. What’s left to be said. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Ok, what could be better than that. Some of the best company anyone could ever come across. Khorn, George, Steven and his family,  and SuperNaut. No finer people anywhere and I got to share a fantastic meal and seriously good conversation with them. Man, let me just say that this was the recharge that was desperately needed at Crusader HQ.

We have to do this more often, guys.
