I just read this article. Both the women and men among us need to read this. We really need to have a plan well before a bad situation happens. Using your natural instincts as a part of that plan is a key component.
Hone Your Natural Instincts

Ladies, it’s important that we control our bodies in a stressful encounter and not the other way around. The ability to do so may certainly make the difference between life and death.

There are few honors that come in this business that are truly lasting. Magazine articles come and go and notoriety fades. All such things eventually fade from peoples memory. They are all temporary.
I was talking to one of my best friends today. It wasn’t long ago that I did a firearm safety class for his group of Boy Scouts. The class went fairly well and by the end they could collectively remember all 4 of the safety rules. Not bad for one evening. Well, Cory had an update for me. The group actually enjoyed the class and all but one passed off the shotgun merit badge that weekend. While that’s great it get’s even better. The class and their day at the range is now their favorite activity and they still talk about it. They have even been spotted quoting the safety rules to other adults at church.
That is the true honor in this industry. Passing on a love of firearms and the safe use of them to kids that would never have had the chance otherwise. Even if nothing else came of Crusader there is this one honor that will last. Hopefully they have set themselves firmly enough on that foundation that they will pass this down to their children and grandchildren. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you Cory. It’s truly an honor to have been a part of this.
Crusader Weaponry is officially on the map. The Guns Magazine 2010 Combat Special Edition is out on news stands everywhere. Inside you’ll find SlipStream featured in the New Product Reviews so pick up your copy today.
Can’t find this one on the shelves I have you covered. Just order it directly from the printers. There, do I take care of you or what?
It’s been a while in the making but I am absolutely thrilled to announce our first production rifle. This is a 7.62 NATO/.308win rifle with no equal. This thing will eat any reasonable factory ammo and ask for more. I say reasonable ammo because lets face it, you try to feed it wimpy, underpowered ammo and no semi-auto will function with that. You give it factory ammo and she’ll run just fine. We’re offering it in 16, 18, 20, 24 inch barrel lengths.
This rifle lives up to its name. It is surprisingly light weight but is an accurate, heavy hitter. Your SR-25 wishes it was a Broadsword. Yep, you heard me so without making you waite further HERE IS THE Crusader BROADSWORD:
Shooters on the Right! Shooters on the Left! Lock and Load one 20 round Magazine…. You may Fire Your Orders when Ready!
The Broadsword .308 can now be ordered. Complete rifle.
Let’s run down the features.
Flip up iron sights.
Free Floated Rails.
G3 Magazine.
Custom milled from forged billet. - No, it is not heavy.
Trigger Finger Standby Pad… for better Off Target – Off Trigger Discipline.
Permanent Slipstream Lubrication Treatment of Bolt, Bolt Carrier, Charging Handle.
Custom Crusader Armor Finish.
Part of our weekend put us at the 5Monkeys in Murray, UT. Playing there was my best friends band, RUYN. Holy crap it was a good time. Cory can burn lead guitar in his sleep. I’ve never heard a guitar played like that with seamingly no effort. MadOgre took some video with his digital camera. Check this out.
Is that now one of the most awesome lead guitars you’ve ever heard? Hey I’ve put up a link to these guys website with my other links. Go check it out, see when they’re playing and go see them live. It’s well worth it.
As I’ve mentioned before we were set up at the Crossroads of the West gunshow this weekend. I have to tell you it was great. We did some great SlipStream demo’s and saw a lot of surprised faces. We talked to other dealers. We talked to a lot of great people and just had a great time. Best of all we got our name and our reputation out there as trainers and manufacturers and ended up selling some SlipStream. That was just the icing on the cake though. The people we talked to and the connections we made was the meat and potatoes of the show.
The exploding targets from Star Targets are worth looking up. The owners were there and what great guys and old friends of mine. They have videos of their stuff all over youtube. They really are a blast, no pun intended.
We talked to Chris over at Fidelis Arms quite a bit. They have some stuff coming that is going to rock the market. It’s not on their website yet but watch for new stuff coming there.
Rick from R.I.P. Tactical was great to talk to. He is a custom AR builder from Southern Utah. Good stuff and a good guy. He is testing out SlipStream this next week. We had him play with some of our oil while at his booth and is impressed so far. He is going to test it some more this coming week and if it continues to impress him as much he has agreed to include SlipStream with every gun he builds. How cool is that? I can’t wait to hear from him.
This gunshow went well enough that I do believe that we will continue to be at the gunshows.
For once I am truly excited for the upcoming weekend. This one is going to be epic. Friday night one of my best friends on the planet (I can narrow that down to about 4 people) invited me to come to his concert. Cory is great. He’s a AKKI Kenpoist, gun nut, and lead guitar of RUYN The Band. A few of us get free tickets and all we have to do is consider ourselves band security. Oh no, hurt me a little more. So we get to hang out and jam with the band and bust someones skull if they get out of line. That’s just a good time.
Then on Saturday and Sunday we have the gunshow. There we’ll be really unveiling SlipStream and Crusader Firearms Training officially for the first time. I’ll have my marketing director and senior trainer Mr. George Hill, the MadOgre himself, there to help spread the word. I am seriously excited about the gunshow and so is George. This is really going to be a killer end to the week.
Ok, I have an update. Get Some Guns & Ammo (6651 South State Street
Murray, Utah) has taken a small order of SlipStream to evaluate how well it sells. Now’s the time people. Let them know they did a good thing. They’re the first, so far, to stock SlipStream. We’re excited they decided to do so and we’d like to send out a thank you to them for it. So if you’re in the Salt Lake Valley stop by Get Some Guns & Ammo and pick up some SlipStream today.
exciting news for on the home front. I went in to a local gun shop (Get Some Guns and Ammo) today to check on their ammo supply. They usually have a good selection and good prices. While I was there I decided to ask who would be the guy to talk to about possibly stocking SlipStream. The right guy just happened to be in.
Didn’t get a whole lot of love from him at first other than the run out of CLP (the only stuff they currently carry) pretty quick and have to wait for resupply. They said they would be willing to try out a sample if I brought them one. Yeah…they had their samples within the hour.
The gentleman I talked to still had the attitude of yeah thanks we’ll call if we want more. They have a range there. Out of the range walks a guy I did some pistol work for at my last gig. He wanted to ask me some questions about his finicky pistol. I had the chance there to tell him the level of maintenance and discuss SlipStream with him. Two minutes and he was completely sold on it. I dropped the hint that I’m here seeing if Get Some wants to stock SlipStream. Still not satisfied I was asked for my card and I gave him that and the WTA website where he could read customer reviews and see videos of SlipStream at work. He’ll be a customer either of mine directly or of Get Some when/if they stock it. Needless to say they gent from the shop had a little different attitude. He started with,” here’s how this is going to work”, and informed me that they clean the range rental guns on Sundays when they aren’t so busy. We talked about applying it and left on good terms. I’ll be hearing from them soon.
This piece of feedback, from We The Armed, really shows how versatile SlipStream really is. This stuff works great on folding knives, fishing reals, and anything else that has moving parts. Really great comments here. Thanks to the author.
I received my Slipstream kit from Crusader Smithy a couple weeks ago and have tried it on a couple things.
S&W M&P40- The trigger on this gun has a lot of moving parts which of course creates friction and a poor trigger pull. When I first got it I put a little Super Lube on the contact points, it improved, and have run it that way for about the last 500 rounds.
While I had it open last week for a little inspection I decided to put some Slipstream Lube (grease) on the trigger group but for some reason it did not want to stick, could be the Teflon in the Super Lube that I had only wiped off. Rather than try and clean it off, I decided to try some Slipstream Oil instead. Definitely an improvement and the trigger is smoother than ever. If the oil stays put then I see no need to try the Lube.
Snap On Folding Knife- My younger son was out shopping with Mom and picked up one of these low grade Chinese made knives at the store. He showed it to me when he came home and I couldn’t believe how stiff it was. It really disappointed me that Snap On would put their name on this. An idea popped in my head to give Slipstream Oil a try. We saw an instant improvement which keeps on getting better and leads me to the next item…
Benchmade Mini-Griptillian- This has been my daily carry for over five years. If any of you carry a folding knife you know how much pocket lint collects on these things, adding oil only makes it worse. After seeing the effect that Slipstream Oil had on my son’s knife, I decided to try some on mine. This knife is pretty well built and is smooth but the Slipstream Oil made a huge difference. The knife now feels like it is running on ball bearings made of glass. Typically when I lube this knife it feels great for a couple days and then the lint soaks the oil right out of it. I have not seen any indication that this is happening. Everytime I open it I am amazed at how well it feels. You guys really need to market this to the knife people out there.
Kimber 1911 conversion kit- This kit is a lot of fun and accurate but is finicky about the ammo that it is fed. It likes its loads a little more towards the spicy side. I pulled it out to head to the range last week and before I put it on the Kimber frame, a few drops of Slipstream Oil were added to the rails and contact points. At first it did not feel like much of a difference when running the gun by hand. George said that sometimes it takes a little bit for the stuff to “soak in” and he was right. When I got to the range and loaded a mag I could start to feel a difference. I ran 6 or 7 mags of bulk Remington through the gun with zero hiccups. It normally likes this load but you could tell that the slide velocity was much faster. Next I am going to try the Federal bulk which it typically chokes on.
I find the Lube (grease) to be a bit thick but I have some areas I want to try it. So far everything I have tried the Oil on has worked better than expected. The two biggest things were the Kimber kit and the Benchmade. Definitely a big difference. Oh, I almost forgot, that logo is pretty nice too.
